ART EXHIBITION
BY TIFFANI LOVE

February 23rd, running until April 6th 2025

TSEAC’s Easter Snow Gallery is delighted to welcome an exhibition by Tiffani Love, entitled 'Footpaths'.

'Footpaths' is a solo exhibition of oil paintings by Tiffani Love. The exhibition features a series of small plein-air works created during Love’s recent residency at Glenveagh National Park in Donegal.

During this time, she explored Glenveagh’s diverse and storied landscape that led to intimate studies of woodlands, gardens, waterways, mountains, and boglands. In addition to her time in Glenveagh, the exhibition extends to her explorations of Killary Fjord, the Burren, and the Aran Islands.

The rugged cliffs and shifting tides of Killary Fjord provided a dynamic subject, while the Burren’s limestone pavements, occasionally blanketed by a rare snowfall in Love’s paintings, revealed a landscape shaped by time and resilience. The Aran Islands presented a study in contrasts of a sturdy yet evolving landscape, reflecting both the strength and fragility of coastal environments.

At An Trá Mhór on Inis Mór, shifting tides and relentless coastal erosion gradually reshape the exposed dunes and cove, illustrating the persistent movement of both land and sea. This exhibition continues Love’s enduring interest in how our perception of the natural world is shaped by quiet footpaths.

Originally from Northern New York and now based in the West of Ireland, Love’s approach to painting is guided by movement, observation, and immersion in place. Her process involves walking the terrain to build a relationship with it before responding through paint.

Love’s work seeks to translate her experiences of place into visual form and to hold a moment of stillness in a world that is constantly changing. The paintings oscillate between the known and unknown, reflecting the landscape's shifting nature and revealing how the past and present coexist beneath the surface.

Love received her BFA from SUNY Plattsburgh in 2017 and her MFA from the Burren College of Art in 2022.

She has exhibited widely, with exhibitions in Galway, Cork, Belfast, and further afield in New York and Nashville.

She is a two-time recipient of the Arts Council of Ireland's Agility Award (2022 & 2023), as well as the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant (2022 & 2024) and a Galway City Council Creative Practitioner Bursary (2024).

Love was recently awarded the inaugural Plein Air Painter Artist Residency at Glenveagh National Park, Donegal.

Since 2022, Love has been a member of Barton Studio in Galway, where she continues to develop her practice.
